Miley’s raunchy performance at the VMAs shocked millions. In a stunning new interview, the grown-up singer possibly reveals how it got so out of control. Should we be concerned about Miley?
Miley Cyrus sings
that she can’t stop, but does she need to? In a revealing new interview
given just before the VMAs, the 20-year-old singer may have explained
her performance at the VMAs on Aug. 25, and the reasoning sounds much darker than you’d think.
Miley Cyrus: ‘I Am So F**ked Up’
It sounds as though Miley wasn’t trying to just shock a ton of people
with her twerking-heavy, borderline vulgar rendition of “We Can’t Stop”
and “Blurred Lines” at the VMAs — it’s just who she is. “I have so many f**king issues,” Miley told The Mirror. “I am so f**ked up — everyone does dumb stuff when they’re messed up.”
It’s hard to tell if Miley was joking around or if she was serious
saying these things, but the picture she paints of her life throughout
the interview is somewhat troubling.
“I don’t have a normal life,” Miley added. “I take a hiatus every now and again but I’m not good at that.”
Miley explained that she is the ultimate workaholic — she eats, sleeps, and breathes her career.
Miley Cyrus: What Caused Her Raunchy VMA Performance?
Is that obsessiveness clouding her judgment? That might explain why
she went so over-the-top at the VMAs, molesting teddy bears, Robin
Thicke, and a foam finger.
Then again, it doesn’t quite seem like Miley has any regrets about
her shock-inducing award show moment. Her admitting that she’s “f**ked
up” doesn’t suggest that she’d take back a second of her tryst in a
flesh-colored latex bikini. That explanation is more likely an admission
that she knows she has a wilder sense of boundaries that the general public doesn’t agree with.
